OFSTED QUOTES
“Siddal provides an outstanding standard of education for all its pupils. The outstanding leadership and management ensure that highly effective strategies for the school’s improvement are extremely well focused on high quality learning. The senior leadership team, all members of staff and the governing body have worked tirelessly to raise standards of attainment and improve provision. This pursuit of excellence accounts for the school’s outstanding capacity for sustained improvement. The school is exceptionally well led and managed. Rigorous monitoring of pupils’ performance and constant self-evaluation are the foundation of the school’s success and demonstrate leaders” Siddal – Ofsted Quotes (October 2010)
“This is a very caring school. The safety and well-being of pupils is very important to all staff. Senior leaders’ effective support and guidance for newly and recently qualified teachers has helped to improve the quality of teaching. Teaching and provision in the early years is good and children are increasingly well prepared to start Year 1. Leaders and teachers have enhanced the curriculum through a growing number of trips and visits, successfully providing pupils with experiences that broaden their understanding of the wider world. Each class has the opportunity to make at least one trip each year. Visits to locations like Cliffe Castle, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Shibden Hall help pupils to learn from first-hand experiences.” Field Lane – Ofsted Quotes (June 2017)
“Pupils make outstanding progress in reading, writing and mathematics. By the time they leave school at the end of Year 6, their attainment is higher and often much higher than that of pupils of their age nationally. Teaching and learning are consistently good and much is outstanding. Teachers give very close consideration to pupils’ interests and abilities, using the information to provide tasks which are highly challenging and giving pupils the chance to make regular improvements to their work. Pupils’ behaviour is excellent. They conduct themselves very well in all areas of the school. Pupils of different ages and from different backgrounds get on very well.” Luddendenfoot Academy (December 2015)
